The unexpected and sudden death of an infant younger than one year of age is called Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or SIDS. The condition most commonly occurs when an infant is sleeping in a crib. In this course caregivers will learn the importance of having babies sleep on their backs, as well as other safe sleep practices to help reduce the risk of SIDS.
